Behinds the usual gang of Ben Watt, William Orbit and Victor Van Vugt, Beth Orton's band, too, played a huge part in her song writing. Tourmates Ali Friend, Ted Barnes, Sean Read and Will Blanchard contribute alot to Beth Orton's music over the years and the power of the 5 gave us favorites like Stolen Car and Bobby Gentry.

The purpose of this page is to salute the men who have supported Beth Orton all these years and helped give us the music we love.

The hottie. Yes. There's no denying Ted Barnes is cute. Just ask the girls. Ted, so-called, the right hand man of Beth, plays the guitar for Beth. Ted can be seen most often with Beth. Appearing with her during promotional gigs and radio shows. Ted also contribute a huge deal in co-writing most of Beth's songs from Trailer Park to most recently Daybreaker.
.
Formly from Red Snapper (spilt in Jan 2002), Ali Friend too has seen Beth throughout the years. Ali has also contribute much of his song writing talent on all Beth's releases.
.
Even though not as profilic as the foremost mentioned two, Will Blanchard helped co-wrote the college radio hit, Stolen Car, as well as some others. Will Blanchard also played on the drums for Dot Allison's Afterglow and Death In Vegas' Contino Sessions.
.
Besides co-writing on some of songs, Sean Read is also a regular bandmate playing for Beth. Besides playing the keyboard and piano on Beth's releases, Sean Read too can sing! He has provided his vocals for Edwyn Collins' I'm Not Following You as well as Astrid's Strange Weather Lately.
