Trailer Park was Beth Orton first worldwide debut. The album had a quiet start in late 1996 but by the end of 1997, it was most critics' top albums list as well as a major compliment from Bruce Springsteen "one of the most refreshing debut he has heard in years". The album spun the perenial faves She Cries Your Name, Someone's Daughter, Touch Me With Your Love and Galaxy Of Emptiness.

I Wish I Never Saw The Sunshine
was quietly released in 1996 in quanities of 500 each on vinyl (7") and CD. But most of it were given to radio stations and record stores for promotion. [more]

Touch Me With Your Love was the 2nd (or 3rd) single to be released from Trailer Park. [more]



 




Someone's Daughter features a re-recorded version of the original album track. A more uptempo version made it as the commerical version available on the single. [more]




She Cries Your Name was re-released in 1997 after her nom at the Brits Awards and it became Beth's first charted single at #40. [more]
