Hi all, I just joined this group and I am no sure of how it works but I figured I would jump in and share a recent experience.

I saw Beth in Boston like a week ago or something and she played a smallll club called The Paradise, which enabled me to stand right in front of her, so close that she can't have not noticed me (along with the other people next to me). She came on late but made up for that as the show was beyond amazing. She kept joking around and performed all the songs I was hoping to hear. Since the crowd was cheering nonstop after she was through with the second encore, she came back on her own and did a couple songs that were not even listed on the set list. She asked us for requests, which was so sweet.

Then when she left my g/f and I waited for her outside for a few minutes and this woman came out, I guess she's friends with Beth or her assistant or whatever, and she was like; "Are you waiting for Beth?! Do you want to get stuff signed?!" and before I had a chance to realize what was going on she took us backsage, to this little room where the band and Beth were hanging out. Beth came up to us and she apologized for making us wait in the cold, which was surreal. We talked for a few minutes, she offered us beer and signed some stuff that I had grabbed before. So there we were, sipping beer with Beth Orton, and all along I was struggling to grasp what was happening ahah.

Being a huggeee fan of Beth, it was definitely a dream come true and I still can't believe I was that lucky. She is so cute!! And the new album is amazing!! Oh and I also got the set list and the cup of tea that she was drinking onstage.
